Hauru Waste Logistics (Haurun Jäteauto Ltd) is a Finnish waste management company working in and around Oulu, Finland. Last summer they finished multiple pilots built around smart waste logistics. Our second presentation of the day was Macon Ltd’s presentation, which concentrated on how the quality of recycled plastic and the optimization of collection equipment for product logistics (€/ton) play a decisive role in shaping the price of new products and the profitability of further processing.

High-quality recycled materials combined with cost-efficient logistics ensure that recycled products remain competitive, while supporting the transition toward a circular economy. By improving both material standards and collection systems, we can reduce costs, enhance product performance, and make sustainable solutions the preferred choice in the market.
