NOWA Project compiled a short summary of the recent Environmental Implementation Review published by the European Commission in the thematic area of circular economy and waste management. In the summary we focused on Finland’s and Sweden’s situation, mapping it out.

The Environmental Implementation Review (EIR) is a regular reporting tool designed to improve the implementation of EU environmental laws and policies. The first EIR was adopted in 2017, the second in 2019, the third in 2022, and the fourth in 2025.
